Certified Birth Doula Services in the Dallas Area
When you are searching for a birth doula, you are looking for experience and commitment to your family’s unique needs. As your birth doula I will diligently serve you with CONTINUOUS and UNLIMITED labor support within DONA’s Scope of Practice as a resource and information bank with suggestions and hands on help in keeping Mom and Coach calm and as comfortable as possible. I tenderly care for each mother as I would my own daughter. You may call me any time with your questions; and in fact, I encourage my clients to ask questions. I want you to feel as comfortable and knowledgeable as possible leading up to your birth.
I am a full-service birth doula who is COMMITTED to my clients. I will SUPPORT you during labor while you are still at home. I will follow and serve you at your chosen birth place throughout your labor NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES! I do NOT work on a shift schedule with other doulas. I feel you have hired ME for a reason. I will not schedule a vacation during your on call period. I will not over commit myself. The only reason I will call a back-up doula is for a family emergency, illness, or if I am already at another birth. In my 13 years as a professional doula, this has only happened a few times!
I am fully committed to the individual needs of each of my clients. I named my practice “Whole Heart Birth Experience” because I attend each birth with my whole heart to support each mother in the way that she desires.

I will also take pictures during your labor and birth as time permits. (Please note: I am not a professional photographer. If you would like professional pictures of your birth, I will refer you to a professional photographer.)
Back-up doula arrangements will be made in case of an emergency.
The Day of Your Birth
I will stay with you after the birth of your child to assist you with breastfeeding and making sure you are comfortable, settled and ready to have a quiet time with your family. This usually lasts 1 1/2 – 2 hours. At a home birth, I will do some clean-up directly related to the birth. If you need other house cleaning, please be sure to have other help available. If you are planning a home birth, there will be extra laundry to do after the birth.
Several Days After Your Birth
I will come to your home for a lactation visit to assess how breastfeeding is going for you and your baby. It is important that you get off to a good start.
One to Two Weeks After Your Birth
I will meet with you at your home to discuss your birth experience and provide a copy of your child’s birth story and any pictures that I took on a thumb drive. I will also be available for questions or other needed referrals any time after the birth of your baby.
