Whole Heart Birth Experience is complete with Certified Childbirth Education Classes, DONA Certified Birth Doula Services, Postpartum Doula Services, and Lactation Services. Childbirth is a natural, life-changing experience in a woman’s life. My goal is to help you achieve a TREASURED birth experience.
I am trained in Spinning Babies techniques emphasizing balance of the pelvic floor for an easier birth. These techniques are taught in my childbirth classes and used with my Doula services.
I am also an experienced Lactation Specialist. I have completed the six-day seminar offered by the Texas State Health Department (WIC) in Breastfeeding Education.

My Birth Philosophy
“I have found that there is something in common with all the clients I have worked with over the last 14 years. At some point while they labor, they will look at me with solemnity without words asking if I believe in her. This is a powerful moment and a strategic opportunity to emotionally connect with this mother to be. She NEEDS to know that she can birth this baby. She needs to feel powerful in spite of the vulnerable state she finds herself in.
A woman needs to feel supported physically, mentally and emotionally. Many think the physical part of laboring is the hardest part; however, I believe that the hardest hurdle to climb is the emotional part of labor. It does not matter if you are birthing without pain medication, with an epidural, or a scheduled cesarean. Every woman is birthing a child in one way or another.
As her Doula, I want to help a woman dig deep down inside herself and give her whole self over to her baby. It is the supreme point of unselfishness when we put our child before our own body. If she believes she can do this work of birth, then she will. As her Doula, I want her to look in my eyes and see her own strength like she is looking into a mirror of herself.
Being a woman who has also given birth is a living testament that the process works. Support is oh so necessary. As a Doula, I will remain with you throughout your whole experience working with your partner, I also support him. I help him know what is normal and that frees him up to know that his support is also very important to her.
“Every woman questions herself about her birth day, and the days to come when she and her partner will be the sole care providers of this new gift they have been given. It is a daunting thought, and she NEEDS her partner and her Doula to believe in her!“
